1LayoutLetter template and colours

Éclat, Horizon and Aurore use the CV templates: choose the same template and colour for a consistent application.

2IdentityPhoto and contact details

The photo is optional. Without a photo, some templates display your initials.

Gender (optional)

Used only to adapt the wording of the templates in languages with grammatical gender (French, Spanish, Arabic). This information does not appear on the letter.

Age, nationality, licence
These fields are optional: leave them empty so that they do not appear on the letter. No law requires you to state your age on an application: see our article photo, age, family situation.
3Recipient and positionWho you are writing to, for which position
4Letter contentStarting template and paragraphs

The template fills in the four paragraphs. Then replace each passage [in square brackets] with your own information.

Leave the subject empty to use “Application for the position of” followed by the target position.

Say in one or two sentences which position you are applying for and why it interests you.

Highlight one or two concrete experiences related to the position, without copying your CV.

Show that you know the company: its business, its projects, what attracts you to it.

Suggest an interview and simply thank the reader.
